eLT announces appointment of Jim
Collins as CFO
Leading document management firm adds experienced
executive to the team
Kansas City, Missouri (March 17, 2008) – After a two-decade
career with United Parcel Service (UPS), serving in a finance
and accounting capacity and as a government lobbyist, Jim
Collins thought he was ready to retire.
“I served with UPS during a very prosperous time for
the company and the nation,” said Collins. “Towards
the end of my tenure, I also represented the company on Capitol
Hill.”
Collins discovered, as many successful corporate executives
find, he was not quite ready to hang it up. He went on to
oversee a $52 million budget as a Logistical Planning Manager
with Hallmark Cards, was an Operations Manager for Sysco
Food Service, and became a business partner in Valley Foods.
“I continued to receive opportunities with organizations
having excellent earning potential and opportunity for growth,” said
Collins. “But in 2007 I finally decided to take my
leave.”
Recently, Collins saw yet another opportunity with a young
Kansas City based company gaining ground providing secure
document management solutions to various industries on a
local and national level. In March of 2008 he came out of
retirement to accept the roll of CFO with emerald Light Technologies
(eLT).
“I am honored to have Jim accept this executive position
with our company,” said eLT CEO Chris Elliot. “His
years of experience bring invaluable intuition to our team,
and the fact he came back from retirement to serve as our
CFO speaks volumes.
